I went to see Brent after being told I had RSD. A condition that can take away your ability to use the effected limb perminently. I was willing to try anything to not lose the use of my foot. I was unable to walk normally due to pain, I had been in a boot and on crutches, and I couldn\'t be effective at work. I met with Brent for the first time and to be honest, I had my doubts. I thought acupuncture was a trick. But within ten hours of my first visit I was not only able to walk noramlly and with out pain, but I was also able to jump up and down, something my traditional doctors said I may never do again. Brent is amazing. I have had little to no pain for over a monthe now and all of my traditional doctors have asked for his card so they can send their patients to him when they can\'t find a cure. I am so happy with my experience at Common Root.

I began treatment with Brent to assist me with the side effects of Chemotherapy, radiation and surgery for breast cancer. I received acupuncture and herbal formulas during the course of my treatment that were designed individually for me and the side effects I was experiencing.
During the aggressive chemotherapy treatment (a high dose given to reduce tumor size prior to surgery), the acupuncture was very effective at alleviating break through nausea that the prescription medicine did not suppress. I was also taking an herbal formula to boost my immune system. I did not receive any of the white blood cell stimulating shots normally prescribed by the oncologist. The herbal formula and acupuncture was enough to maintain my white blood counts so that chemotherapy treatments were never delayed. I also remained infection free during the course of chemotherapy. My recovery and energy level after each chemo treatment was surprising to the oncologist. I was also told by the oncologist that I responded to the chemotherapy exceptionally well,(The tumor disappeared and She considered reducing the number of treatments.)
The acupuncture and herbal formulas were individualized to address the side effects of the surgery and then radiation therapy. I never experienced the radiation caused fatigue that I was told to expect. I was also given specific treatments that Brent prescribed to help alleviate the damage to the skin caused by radiation. I am currently following a detoxifying course of treatment.
The acupuncture and herbal formulas that were prescribed and administered during the 7 months of cancer treatments were highly effective. Not only did I maintain a high level of health and vitality, I was able to regain my strength quickly once my treatment was completed. I am now back to an active lifestyle.
I highly recommend the addition of TCM as a compliment to any form of cancer treatment!!

I had [our son's] IEP meeting yesterday (10/30) and wanted to share all the great news with you! Each and every teacher is completely ASTOUNDED! They cannot get over how social he has become! Some of the things mentioned were: his personality has began to show itself, he is actively participating in class with over 24 people (in the past it was hard to get him to participate in his resource group of 8), he will stop teachers to ask questions about what he does not understand (last year he wouldn't ask anything), he tells teachers and peers jokes, starts up conversations with others with out being prompted, he is working more independently and they are seeing higher levels of thinking, there were no concerns at all with the teachers (resource and mainstream). He even has a group of friends that he hangs out with, this has never been the case for him, he may have had one friend in school at a given time. He now actually invites kids over to the house to hang out!! The speech teacher said she has NEVER had to remove parts of an IEP!! He has completely reached goals that can be removed rather than setting them at a higher level, his speech therapy time has been reduced and they are completely revamping his goals and working on higher level things!! The speech teacher said that he has completely turned a corner and she cannot get over the changes in him. She even asked me what we are doing and I did tell her, although I did not tell her he is off his meds, that's going to be my little secret!! What wonderful things for a parent to hear! I am so proud of him, as are the teachers (all except 2 knew him from last year, so that says A LOT)!! He was a completely different child last year and has made great strides! I hope to keep things moving in a forward direction for him. I wanted to share this with you, because you certainly had a hand in the healing of my son and I truly appreciate all you have done for him!! I do plan on having him come in as a "maintenance" program once a month, I think the acupuncture/meditation really does him good! Thank you for all that you do!

Brent is absolutely wonderful! I started with him about two years ago for my endometriosis and he worked wonders on me. Since then he's treated me for other various things and has really helped improve my quality of life. I'm not a fan of needles but Brent is so gentle, and he really takes the time to make sure he understands my needs. I've also had the "scrapping" or "spooning" which has helped my tight muscles so much. It does leave marks on your skin for a few days but is so worth it. I've also had massages with Shannon and she's great! The two of them make a great team! Whenever I have a medical concern I turn to Brent before I even consider contacting a regular medical doctor. Since I started seeing Brent in 2007 I haven't made a trip to my family doctor as Brent's been able to take care of everything!

I'm not a fan of needles...at all. But I had been experiencing some health issues for which various people had suggested I look into acupuncture. Skeptically, I made an appointment with Brent at Common Root. Months later and I'm still seeing Brent on a fairly regular basis. He's knowledgeable, thorough, effective, friendly, and professional. He works wonders in the current small space he is in. However, very very soon he hopes to move to a larger office space to accommodate his ever-growing client base. Brent offers convenient appointment times, is willing to work around your schedule, and even offers a very fair set of fee options that fit into anyone's budget. Acupuncture can be scary at first, but don't be afraid! It's well worth it! Brent can treat various issues/problems at the same time all with a few well-placed needles. I've been meaning to write you for some time. I just wanted to say "Thank You So Much"! A few months ago, you had treated my son for asthma. By taking your advice on reducing his dairy intake, I am HAPPY to say that his asthma is almost non-existent! I have suffered from Migraines for as long as I can remember. I would have at least 7-10 per month, if not more. I found no relief from my migraines without relying on very expensive prescription medication. After ending up in the ER with sever pain the doctors told me I had kidney stones, one of them being very large (6mm). I was sent to a Urologist who said the only way to take care of them was surgery.
